If you have just been examined at Gandhi Eye Hospital, you're holding a prescription and probably want your glasses without a second trip. Deepak Opticals has served Aligarh since 1995 and is directly opposite Gandhi Eye Hospital on Ramghat Road, so you can walk across with your slip.

What to bring
- Your prescription slip. The original, or a clear photo on your phone.
- Your current glasses, if you have them, so we can compare and keep what still works, such as the frame.
- Any note from your doctor about special requirements, such as a lens type or protective coating.
How long does fitting take?
For most standard single-vision pairs, express edging and fitting takes around 30 to 45 minutes once you have chosen a frame. That covers cutting the lenses to your frame, mounting them and checking the alignment. Timing depends on the lens: progressives, high-power or special-order lenses take longer because they are made to your exact measurements, and we'll tell you the real time before you pay.
If you'd rather not wait around the hospital, message us your prescription photo first. We can confirm what's possible the same day and have your options ready when you walk in.
What you can get done in one visit
- Eye testing and prescription consultation
- Frame selection from eyeglasses, sunglasses and computer glasses
- Lens cutting and fitting for your prescription
- Frame adjustment so the glasses sit comfortably
Coming from outside Aligarh?
Many of our customers travel from nearby towns for an appointment at the hospital. A few things make the day smoother:
- Send your slip before you travel. We'll confirm lens availability so there are no surprises.
- Plan for the hours. We are open 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.
- Mention if you're on a return train or bus. We'll prioritise what can be finished in time.
- If you can't wait, we can discuss dispatching the finished pair to you.
Why local fitting matters
Glasses are measured to your face, not just to your prescription. When you collect in person, the pair is checked on you, the nose pads and temples are adjusted, and any issue is fixed before you leave. Ordering online?
