If you work on a laptop or PC all day, you have probably seen "computer glasses" advertised. This guide explains what they are, who they suit, what they cost and how to order a pair in India. We keep the claims honest, because there is a lot of hype in this category.
What computer glasses are
Computer glasses are frames fitted with a lens designed for screen work. In practice that usually means:
- A blue-light filter that cuts part of the blue-violet light from screens.
- An anti-reflective coating that reduces reflections of lamps and windows on the lens.
- Optionally, your prescription, for a working distance at the screen.
That is a description of the lens, not a promise about your eyes. For a plain-language look at what blue cut lenses can and cannot do, read blue light glasses: benefits, limitations and what to know.
Who they suit
- People who spend long hours at a laptop, desktop or tablet.
- People who like a lens finish that cuts reflections from screens and lamps.
- People who need a prescription at screen distance, which is different from reading distance. See reading glasses vs computer glasses.

Zero power or prescription?
- Zero power: no correction, just the screen-work lens finish. Choose this if you see well and want the filter and coating.
- With your prescription: your correction plus the screen-work finish, made in one pair.
Both are available on EYVRO computer glasses.
What it costs
The frame price is on the product page, and the lens is added at checkout, per pair:
- Hard Coat Lens: ₹250. Clear prescription lenses with a scratch-resistant hard coat.
- Blue Cut Lens: ₹350. Blocks harmful blue light from screens.
- Magnus Lens: ₹600. Premium clarity & impact resistance.
- Crizal Lens: ₹1,800. Ultimate anti-reflective, scratch-resistant & smudge-proof.
Our lens comparison explains which one suits whom, and the lens price list has the full table.
Choosing the frame
- Lens size: a taller lens gives a larger view of the screen.
- Weight: you will wear them for hours. See TR90 vs acetate vs metal.
- Fit: check the numbers against a pair you already like (frame size guide).
Habits matter as much as glasses
Take regular breaks, blink, keep the screen at a comfortable distance and avoid glare from windows and lamps. Glasses help with the lens finish. They do not replace those habits.
