Best Eye Protection Glasses for Laptop Users in India: Working 9 Hours a Day on a Screen

If you spend most of your day at a laptop, tired eyes at the end of it are common. Glasses can help, but they are one part of the answer. This guide covers what to look for, how to set up your screen and when to see an optometrist. For the basics of the glasses themselves, see computer glasses for laptop and PC.

Hinglish mein seedha jawab

Laptop pe 9 ghante kaam karte ho? Pehle apni aankhein test karwao, kyunki galat ya purana number aankhon ko thaka deta hai. Phir computer glasses lo jinme anti-reflective coating ho, aur chaho to blue cut lens. Aur har 20 minute mein door dekho. Laptop ka brand, Dell ho ya koi aur, lens ka choice nahi badalta.

Step 1: get your eyes tested

A small, uncorrected prescription is an easy thing to miss and a common reason eyes feel tired at a screen. If your last test was a while ago, start there. We offer in-store eye testing in Aligarh. See 5 warning signs you need an eye test.

Step 2: choose the lens

  • Anti-reflective coating: cuts reflections of lamps and windows on the lens surface.
  • Blue cut filter (optional): filters part of the blue-violet light from screens. See what blue light glasses can and cannot do.
  • Your prescription: if you wear glasses, have the screen pair made to your numbers. Tell us how far your screen is from your eyes.
  • No power: if you see well, zero-power computer glasses are available.

The lens prices at EYVRO are hard coat ₹250, blue cut ₹350, Magnus ₹600 and Crizal ₹1,800, per pair. See the lens price list.

Step 3: choose a frame you can wear all day

You will wear these for hours, so weight and fit matter. A lighter frame leaves less mark on your nose (see TR90 vs acetate vs metal), and a slightly taller lens gives a bigger view of the screen. Students and teenagers do well with a sturdy, flexible frame. Check the size with our frame size guide. Browse computer glasses.

Step 4: set up the screen

  • Distance: about an arm's length from your eyes.
  • Height: the top of the screen at or slightly below eye level, so you look slightly down.
  • Glare: keep windows and lamps from reflecting in the screen, and match the screen brightness to the room.
  • Text size: make it large enough that you do not lean in.

Step 5: build in breaks

A commonly suggested habit is the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something about 20 feet (6 metres) away for 20 seconds. Blink often, and stand up and move now and then. Glasses cannot replace this.

When to see a doctor

If you have eye pain, redness, blurred vision that does not clear, frequent headaches, or double vision, see an eye-care professional. Do not try to solve it with a lens alone. See computer vision syndrome and anti-glare glasses for what the term means.

This article is general information, not medical advice. For persistent symptoms or any sudden change in your vision, see an eye-care professional.

Frequently Asked Questions

01Which glasses are best for working on a laptop all day?

Computer glasses: frames with a lens made for screen work, usually with an anti-reflective coating and optionally a blue-light filter. If you need correction, have the lens made to your prescription. If you see well, zero-power computer glasses are available.

02Does the laptop brand matter, for example Dell or HP?

No. The lens choice depends on your eyes, how far you sit from the screen and how many hours you work, not on the brand of the laptop.

03Will computer glasses stop my eyes getting tired?

They can make a screen more comfortable by cutting reflections and, with a prescription, by correcting your vision at screen distance. They are not a treatment, and breaks, blinking and a good setup matter just as much. If your eyes hurt, see an optometrist.

04Which glasses are good for a student studying on a computer?

A comfortable, sturdy frame with an anti-reflective lens, made to a prescription if the student has one. A blue cut lens is optional. Fit and a recent eye test matter most.

05How much do computer glasses cost?

The frame price is on the product page and the lens is added at checkout: hard coat ₹250, blue cut ₹350, Magnus ₹600 and Crizal ₹1,800 per pair.
